Krishna Janmashtami
Lord Krishna was born at midnight on the eighth day of Hindu lunar month, Shravana.
Janmashtami, is the birthday of lord Krishna was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Aditya National Public School, Yelahanka. It is believed that lord Vishnu reincarnated in the form of lord Krishna on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. The historical background of the birth of lord Krishna depicts the significance of this Hindu festival.
Janmashtmi is a very auspicious night for those seeking for God’s realization. It is the day when the supreme power appeared on earth. It may seem totally unbelievable that the creator himself appeared in a province, in a village in India.
Raslila (an act) is performed to recreate incidents from the life of Krishna and to commemorate his love for Radha. Lord Vishnu is invoked in his human manifestation as Krishna on his birth anniversary in the festival of Janmashtmi.
Aditya National Public Children enjoyed Krishna Janmashtami very much as the Kindergarten kids little Krishna and Radha looked adorable in their traditional constumes.
The entire area was transformed into a land of joy, celebrations and happiness. The naughty little Krishna was all set to sway and dance with Gopicas and Radha.
